Conheça e participe do nosso Tour Bossa Nova.
Exclusividade da
Brazil by Locals.
We are preparing a tour for the Bossa Nova fans.
Born in the
southern zone of Rio de Janeiro, this musical style
that emerged in
the '50s and '60s, has influences
from Brazilian samba and American
jazz.
Bossa Nova literally means New Trend, being born from the
desire
of young composers and singers to play and sing samba in a new
way,
a modern urban samba, young and with middle class origins.
Do something with Bossa, in Brazil, is a slang term for
making it with a certain charm.
One of the most influential movements of Brazilian popular music,
Bossa Nova became known around the world, associated
with names like
Joao
Gilberto, Nara Leao, Vinicius de Moraes,
Antonio Carlos Jobim, Luiz Bonfa,
and Baden Powell.
We are checking places frequented
by these composers and singers
in the 50s and the years that
followed, where we will take our guests,
as well as in front of some
houses where they lived.
Pictures and videos on the Bossa Nova will be presented,
its
beginning, and progress towards the achievement
of an international
market.
We'll go to some bars and restaurants that remind us that
time,
and eat and drink things that they liked,
always hearing
the sound of bossa nova.
We will make visits to places with extensive historical material,
as well as specialized stores with books and CD’s.
If there is a special show in the city, we'll reserve the best
seats
for our guests and take them to some celebration after the show.
