central to the city's financial and business sectors.
Rescued and resuscitated
at the end of the '80s, Banco do Brasil
recognised its architectural
significance and transformed it into a focus
for art exhibitions, film and
cultural debates.
Uniting several exhibition spaces under one (beautiful) roof,
there is also a decent bookshop selling all kinds of weird and wonderful
items,
and a nice café for refuelling under the vaulted glass roof."
